What is cold-pressed juice?

Cold-pressing is a method of juicing that does not apply heat or friction, thereby preserving the nutrients and enzymes present in the juice. Cold-pressing also limits oxidation during the juicing process and does not compromise the integrity of the juice.  The result is a juice that is fresh, nutrient dense, rich in color, and full of flavor. Our juices are cold-pressed daily to ensure you have fresh juice each day. They are bottled, sealed, and refrigerated immediately after pressing to ensure you are receiving the highest quality juice possible.

What is the shelf life of Squeeze juices and do they need to be refrigerated?

Squeeze juices are raw, contain live enzymes, and are highly perishable. Refrigerate your juice as soon as you get home. Look out for “best by” stickers on all our bottles.

What does unpasteurized mean?

Pasteurization is a process that heats a product to a high temperature to prolong shelf life. This process may destroy present microbes, however, it also damages precious nutrients and enzymes. By not pasteurizing our juices, you are getting a much higher nutrient and enzyme content.

Why should I do a Squeeze juice cleanse?

Doing a Squeeze juice cleanse is a great way to support the body’s natural detoxification processes. Giving your digestive system a rest while flooding your body with live nutrients and enzymes will help your body eliminate impurities and return to a state of clarity and balance.

Don’t our bodies detoxify naturally?

Our bodies do detoxify naturally and constantly. However, in present times, the amount and severity of toxins is much more than we are built to handle. Environmental pollutants, refined foods, food additives, prescription drugs, chemicals in huge array of consumer products, caffeine and alcohol are only a few things that our liver needs to process. Thus, the idea behind a juice cleanse is to give our digestive system a rest, and at the same time support our body’s own natural ability to cleanse and heal. A juice cleanse is a great way to boost natural detoxification, lessen the load on the liver, and nourish and heal every cell.

Can I cleanse while at work?

Yes.  However, everyone reacts differently to a cleanse.  Some people may feel alert and energized during their cleanse while others feel more lethargic than usual.  Your body will be your guide to what you are able to do or unable to do.

Can I exercise while I am cleansing?

Absolutely, however, the intensity of exercise will be determined by your body. Listen to it, as you may feel full of energy while cleansing or you may feel more tired than usual.  Everyone experiences a cleanse differently. We offer a cleanse designed for individuals who are active or have higher caloric needs.  This may be an option for you.

Can I drink alcohol while cleansing?

No.

Can I drink coffee while cleansing?

Not recommended.  To get the full benefits of the cleanse, we suggest removing caffeine from your diet.

Should I drink water while I’m cleansing?

Yes, you should be drinking water in between each juice.  Staying hydrated in very important.

Am I going to lose weight on a cleanse?

Possibly, however, we try not to focus on weight loss as a goal at Squeeze.  Our hope is to “reset” your system, alkalize your body, and create new and better dietary habits for the long-term.  A balanced and properly functioning body will be more efficient, and this combined with improved eating habits can lead to long-term and a more permanent reduction in weight.

Am I going to feel tired while cleansing?

Everyone is different. At some point you may experience a decrease in energy.  Your body is going through a transformation and it requires energy to adapt.  If you do experience lethargy, allow yourself to rest.  This is not permanent, your body will acclimate, and it will soon become more energized.

How often can I cleanse?

This is a personal decision. Many people like to cleanse whenever they start to feel seasonal health issues. Some like to cleanse once a month or once every three to six months. However, we advocate making Squeeze juices a part of your daily life, whether you are cleansing or not. Consuming the nutrients in our fresh-pressed juices on a regular basis will support your system and keep your body in optimal shape, inside and out.
